Phil Wise Registered Osteopath in Maidstone - professionalism and safety

Professionalism and safety are so important to us, many people ask: is Osteopathy a regulated and recognised profession?

To qualify as an Osteopath, an Osteopath must study for four to five years for an undergraduate degree (depending on which University they attend). This is similar to a medical degree, but with more emphasis on anatomy and musculoskeletal medicine (rather than drugs and surgical procedures) and includes more than 1,000 hours of training in osteopathic techniques. By law, osteopaths must register with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).

It is an offence for anyone to call themselves an osteopath if they are not registered.

Your Osteopath Phil Wise is registered with the GosC – Professionalism and safety are so important to us
